There are some very good restaurants on the

Lower Cape:

- Orleans: Abba (yr round)
- Wellfleet: The Wicked Oyster (closed December - mid January) Four course Prix Fixe menu off-season; Mac’s Shack in the Gallery district (May - October) – Great Sushi
- P’town: Front Street – Rack of Lamb to die for; Duck is lovely too; Mews – excellent. Never disappointed. Winter months ½ price (I think on Wednesdays) Coffeehouse at The Mews, an open mic for writers, playwrights, poets, singers, songwriters, comedians, etc. starts season number 19 on November 3, 2008 through May 11, 2009.

Mid-Cape:

- Yarmouth Port– Inaho is O so good. Sushi the is best on the Cape!

Inaho is amazing...just bought some Gift Certificates recently.

Island Merchant in Hyannis

A place I'm dying to try - Blackfish in Truro

I've heard great things about Misaki in Hyannis (new owners) disclaimer: I know the owners...but gotta get in there.

Joann - I am working on adding a feature to CapeCodsters for local reviews or recommendations like this, early 2009 should be up.

I can vouch for Misaki, The Sushi is always fresh and perfectly rolled. Lunch menu offers great Sushi combos with Miso soup and salad.

My wife and I are big fans of Tomatoes in Sandwich. The pork ossa bucco is out of this world.

If you're feeling high-end I love the Red Pheasant in Dennis and Circadia in Harwich.

In Mashpee, Heather's is wonderful and so is Bleu.

Sad that Abbicci is gone -- a good long run!

I'll add my vote for Heather. Other favorites include Naked Oyster in Hyannis, Ocean House in Dennisport, and Brewster Fish House in Brewster.

My wife an I are also quite partial to the Roadhouse, but we're a bit biased. It's where we had our wedding reception.

Chris,

Ate at Inaho last night...Double Dragon and White Dragon (a special) absolutely to die for.

The Blackfish in Truro is great. Do try it. Seasonal.

CapeCodsters dining feature addition sounds great.

Love the ning thing. I have one that I am using with teachers.

We keep on meaning to get to Heather in Mashpee. Based on the positive comments on this thread, I think we'll have to try it very soon.

For Indian food, The Pavilion on Main St in Hyannis is excellent.

For pizza on the Upper Cape, nothing beats Peppino's on the Cranberry Hwy (the entry to the Sagamore). If you like Italian food made by actual Italian folks and love a thin crust pizza, give them a try. It's family run and they are a great group of people.

Also on the UC is Tomatoes in Sandwich at Heritage Plaza on Rt 130, which is pricey, but has the most spectacular olive-specked bread with garlic tinged olive oil for dipping. To be honest I can't remember any entrees I've had there because I go for the bread...but I'm fairly certain the rest of the food is great!

I love the Wianno Grill. The chef, Michael Pirini, was at Abbicci for years. It is casual, comfortbable and the food is wonderful. The owners are charming and the prices are very good. It's over by the Hyannis Airport. Open year round I believe.
