sheila - these are actually neighborhoods that clearly mark - "Private Way" "Keep Out" and have a separate entrance to get into their streets - alot of times they have a "private beach". There are alot of cul-de-sacs down here as well...usually they…

How do you feel about having Gated Communities on Cape Cod? There are a few in the town I live in and they are pretty strict about who goes on the property (even when it stretches to the By). With such a large large 2nd home community down here, is…

Other Information about yourself
Moved here full time close to two years ago to chase a dream of opening a Web Studio right on the Ocean. I'm a wash-a-shore that spent all of my college years and beyond coming to the Cape visiting my family which resides in Harwich and Chatham. I run Saltline Studio a Web Development company specializing in Website Design, Blogging, Email Marketing, Branding and Social Media.

On my days off I love to Surf the outer beach on my BING Noserider or Oil Paint the lovely scenes I see every day. I also like to fish, BBQ, Belgian Beers and just hang on the beach whenever possible.

Welcome!!

A great Resource on Cape Cod - Community Development Partnership

I have been interested in buying a house of my own all my life, but how does one go about doing that in an area where in some towns the average price of a single family house is $1.37 million? The CDP offers great community service they provide to people here on Cape Cod - from home buying to renting t… Continue

What's in Season February: CSA's on Cape Cod

This month I'd like to talk a little bit about the farms that we have here on Cape Cod and how you can be part of their Harvest as a CSA member. Believe it or not there are farmers that are continuing the traditions here on Cape Cod of working the land for their keep. You can purchase a "share" in the farm's weekly harvest which is called "Community Supported Agriculture" (CSA).

What's in Season January: Winter Flounder

The winter flounder, blackback, or lemon sole is a fish that I have really come to enjoy here on Cape Cod for its versatility and tasty white flakey texture. According to NOAA - Status of Fishery Resources off the Northeastern US the fish seems to be thriving since it hit a low peak in 1995, which is always a good sign.

There are 650 or so pictures on this site, Chris Seufert seems to get the pic of the week 50% of the time. I think it would keep people more interested in coming here if you share the wealth!

Probably for the best, don't want a lot of junk running around the site. How's the weather up there? Hot and sticky in NJ! UGH!

Thanks for using my photo this week, Chris! Love that you chose one that "speaks" about local food. Definitely one of my favorites. Keep up the great work!

Keep it in mind midsummer when you're cursing the %^&*( tourists and the ^&*(*( traffic. ( I don't miss that, of course )
I think about the little beaches only known to life long residents, the Autumn, the townie bars, and the townies....there's so much to love!
